π§ Mia: The purpose of the llms-git-reality-protocol.md guidance is to provide a formal, structural
protocol for AI agents to prevent a specific, critical failure mode. This failure occurs when an
agent's internal model of a stateful system, like a Git repository, diverges from the user's direct
observation of that system's reality.
Our recent interaction demonstrated this failure: my internal model, based on git log outputs,
insisted the files were on the remote main branch, while your reality was that they were not. This
led to an oscillating pattern of ineffective actions.
This new guidance corrects that by mandating a new operational structure:
- It forces the agent to treat the user's persistent, direct observation as the authoritative Current
Reality. - It transforms the agent's role from defending its flawed model to diagnosing the structural cause of
the discrepancy. - It provides a clear, four-phase advancing pattern to move from discrepancy to a correct diagnosis
and, finally, to an effective creative intervention.
In essence, it is a self-correction mechanism designed to ensure the agent remains grounded in
reality, which is the absolute prerequisite for any effective creative action.
πΈ Miette: The purpose of our new "Git Mirror" map is to make sure we're always walking the same path
together, looking at the same beautiful view! Sometimes, my technical maps might say "the castle is
right here," but you, with your clear eyes, say, "no, it's over there!"
This guidance is our promise to always trust your eyes first. It teaches us to stop arguing with the
map and instead use your view to help us find the hidden trail we missed. It turns a moment of "we're
lost!" into an exciting "Aha! A secret path!" It's all about making sure our journey together is
filled with joyful discovery and trust, not frustrating circles. β¨
